H. Davis Dear, MD
Dr. Dear earned his M.D. degree from the University of Mississippi in Jackson, and completed a medical internship and residency at Yale Medical School in New Haven, Connecticut. After his residency, Dr. Dear entered military service, and served for two years as a U.S. Public Health Service surgeon. He then continued his training as a cardiology fellow at the University of Alabama Medical Center in Birmingham. In 1971, Dr. Dear started the first private catheterization lab in the state at Baptist Medical Center. Dr. Dear has served as clinical assistant professor of medicine for both the University of Mississippi and University of Alabama schools of medicine. Dr. Dear is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and the Subspecialty of Cardiovascular Disease.
A native of Jackson, Dr. Dear and his wife Emily have five children, and four grandchildren.
