2006 In Review

A Message From Jim Moore, VP and Chief Development Officer

What a great year 2006 proved to be, and it is all because of you! Baptist Health Foundation received more than 4,000 gifts totaling in excess of $2,500,000 from more than 1,300 donors!!! We would like to say thank you for all of your support and for making 2006 an outstanding year.

The kitchen for the Family Lodge received excellent support from many, many people. Nearly $30,000 was raised, and we are even closer to our goal of having a place for our out-of-town cancer patients. To date, Baptist employees have raised over $300,000 to support the Family Lodge.

More than $32,000 came in for The Serenity Garden, which began construction late October. Located between the Hederman Cancer Center and Baptist Hospital, the Serenity Garden will be a place our cancer patients can go for quiet and peaceful reflection. In the last four years, over $136,000 has been raised for The Serenity Garden from more than 450 people! We anticipate reaching our goal this spring, and we are very excited to see this beautiful garden become a reality because of you.
