Jackson, Miss. – February 28, 2006 - The Gertrude C. Ford Foundation recently made a $100,000 gift to be used toward The Lodge for Baptist Cancer Services. The Lodge will be a place where out-of-town patients and family members can stay while patients are receiving treatments. The Gertrude C. Ford Foundation was one of the first sponsors of the George and Barbara Bush luncheon and Cancer Center tour, which helped kick off the fund-raising campaign for Baptist Cancer Services in 2003. Baptist is just over the halfway point in raising $15 million for Baptist Cancer Services.
